The Manhattan Beach Historical Society

The mission of the Manhattan Beach Historical Society is to research, document, collect, preserve, and display the City’s rich history; to honor the people who created our community; and to educate the next generations.

The Society began as the City Historical Committee in 1970 and incorporated as a non-profit, tax exempt organization on October 20, 1977. All officers and museum staff are volunteers.

The Manhattan Beach Historical Society museum is located in Polliwog Park. It is currently closed while we undergo some clean-up and restoration. Please follow us on Instagram and Facebook for updates.
